Another lap for gluttons is the town of Recco, ancient seamen village with a more modern appearance of the others, as it suffered serious damages during the last world conflict.
It was really thanks to the inhabitants' talent during the hard years of war that a famous specialty was created, the world-famous “Focaccia al formaggio”: two thin layers of brad pasta containing fresh cheese, seasoned with a thread of olive oil.
Another occasion to visit Recco is the Fire festival: on 8th September the city districts compete in a suggestive firework contest of about two hours honouring the Madonna del Suffragio.
